In 1940 he held an exhibition in San Sebastián, receiving good reviews from artists and personalities of the time such as Ignacio Zuloaga, Gustavo de Maeztu and Doctor Marañón.
He won second prize and the prize of honour at the International Art Union Exhibitions, as well as the third medal at the Provincial Exhibition of Fine Arts.
